Media Accreditation for the Preparatory Committee Sessions

United Nations Media card holders 

Please note that UN media card holders do not need to register for the Multi-Stakeholder Hearing or the sessions of the Preparatory Committee.  

Media outlets not accredited by the United Nations 

Your organization may need to apply for special accreditation with the Media Accreditation and Liaison Unit here. Please note that official media, such as press attachés or videographers, must register through their country’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations. 


 

Media Accreditation for the FfD4 Conference in Seville, Spain | 30 June – 3 July 2025

Media accreditation is strictly reserved for members of the press (print, photo, radio, television, film, news agencies and online media) who represent a bona fide media organization. Media representatives should apply either on their own OR through the delegations. Duplicate requests will be rejected. 

 

(1) Media representatives including journalists, photographers and videographers who are not part of official delegations, must apply for accreditation through the United Nations Media Accreditation and Liaison Unit (MALU) online form available at:https://indico.un.org/UNHQ/#media. When completing the form, select Temporary Pass in the Pass Details section, and enter the conference title and dates in the Assignment fields. 

Media representatives applying independently are required to upload a letter of assignment from a bona fide media organization addressed to the United Nations. Independent broadcast or film production companies must provide a letter from a broadcast organization or film distributor which has committed to air or distribute the work. Media accreditation is not issued to information outlets or advocacy publications of non-governmental organizations.

Deadlines for registration to the Conference: (TBC)
Media Registration (non-delegation) to the Conference will be open from 1 March to 12 June 2025 (TBC). 

 

(2) Media representatives who are a part of official delegations, including official photo and video, must be registered through the online eRegistration system, which is available on the e-deleGATE portal at https://edelegate.un.int. Designated e-Registration at the respective permanent/observer mission or liaison office in New York may refer to the instructions at https://www.un.org/en/media/accreditation/pdf/eRegistration_guide_media_passes.pdf

Pre-registration of delegation media: 24 April to 12 June 2025 (TBC).
Online onsite registration in Seville: 26 June to 2 July 2025 (TBC).
 

Delegation media personnel seeking on-site registration will be instructed to submit the request through their respective permanent/observer mission or liaison office in New York via the online eRegistration system.
