Civil Society Organizations

Civil society engagement has been an integral part of the financing for development process since the inaugural conference in Monterrey, Mexico in 2002. Civil Society Organizations participation in FfD is open to all accredited organizations.

Kindly convey any questions to desa-ffd4.cso@un.org

Civil Society Self-Coordination

Over the years, many Civil Society Organizations interested in the intergovernmental process on financing for development have voluntarily joined the Civil Society FfD Mechanism

Non-government organizations with ECOSOC consultative status

Non-governmental organizations in consultative status with ECOSOC (Special, General or Roster consultative status) may participate in the FfD4 process. You can check if your organization has consultative status here: United Nations Civil Society Participation – Consultative status

In New York, many organizations have chosen to self-organize through the NGO Committee on FfD.

NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC are invited to register to the Second Session of the Preparatory Committee through the Indico platform:  NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC

Please note that due to capacity constraints, a secondary access ticket may be implemented for the Second Session of the Preparatory Committee.
