In accordance with paragraph 34 of A/RES/78/231, which “Decides that the intergovernmental preparatory committee, during its organizational session in the first quarter of 2024, will adopt decisions and, as appropriate, make recommendations to the General Assembly on the dates of the sessions of the intergovernmental preparatory committee, additional modalities, including inclusive participation, and format of the Conference and how it can be organized in the most efficient and effective manner”, the United Nations Secretariat is organizing a variety of opportunities for multi-stakeholder engagement to facilitate the meaningful participation of stakeholders in the Conference and its preparatory processes.
