The high-level briefing will inform Member States of the Task Force members’ analysis of the global economic situation and build on their flagship publications, notably the World Economic Situation and Prospects of UN DESA, the World Economic Outlook of the IMF, and the Trade and Development Report of UNCTAD. This analysis will inform the recommendations put forward by the Task Force in its 2018 report.
The briefing will also provide space for an interactive discussion among delegates, Task Force members and other external stakeholders, as well as for a brief update on the preparation of the 2018 report and online annex.
