Apply to special accreditation to the FFD4 process here.
What is special accreditation?
Special accreditation is the official process that allows civil society organizations, private sector companies, foundations, academia, and other stakeholders to access and take part in the Conference and its side events.
Why does your organization need to be accredited?
Accreditation is mandatory for all stakeholders wishing to attend the Conference and its related events. Accreditation granted for other UN Conferences, such as COP, does not transfer to FFD4.
Exceptions:
Your organization is already accredited if it:
- It is in consultative status with ECOSOC, or
- It was previously accredited for prior FFD Conferences.
I do not belong to any organization. Can I attend?
Unfortunately, no. You cannot attend the Conference or the sessions of the Preparatory Committee as an individual. Participants must be associated with an accredited organization. Accredited organizations will be able to register their authorized representatives for each session of the Preparatory Committee in New York and the main Conference in Spain.
When can your organization be accredited?
The accreditation process is now open — don’t miss this opportunity!
You have until 21 February 2025 to send your application.
What does your organization need to get accredited?
To complete the accreditation process, you must provide the following documents:
1. Expression of Interest:
A signed letter on official letterhead from the organization's head requesting accreditation.
Example: Find the sample letter here.
2. Proof of Legal Status:
Government-issued documents confirming your organization's legal status.
Examples: proof of incorporation, 501 (c)(3) filing status, certificate of registry, etc.
3. Activity Report:
A list of the organization's relevant Financing for Development activities in the past 12 months.

- A list of organizations meeting the criteria will be submitted to the Office of the President of the General Assembly (OPGA).
- OPGA circulates the list to UN Member States for approval on a non-objection basis.
- The approved list will be published by OPGA, and you will receive an email notification regarding your status.
- Decisions are not made on a rolling basis; you will be notified when the review process is complete.
Important Note:
Special accreditation status does not include registration for representatives to attend the FfD4 Conference in Spain or its preparatory meetings in New York.
Registration information will be provided soon.
