About the Forum

The world is falling behind on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, hindered by a financing gap of around $4 trillion annually.  Development finance is more needed than ever amid conflicts, humanitarian disasters, extreme weather events and economic upheavals.

At the United Nations, governments have set goals and targets for financing sustainable development, notably the Addis Ababa Action Agenda adopted in 2015, which provides a new global framework for financing sustainable development.

The FfD Forum is an intergovernmental process with universal participation mandated to review the Addis Agenda and other financing for development outcomes and the means of implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
