The 7th SDG Investment Fair held on 1-2 December 2022 brought together more than 350 participants to promote high-impact, bankable projects that can advance the 2030 Agenda.
Amid dramatic reversals in global progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), world leaders are calling for urgent action from the international community to improve developing countries’ access to affordable finance.
The annual ECOSOC Forum on Financing for Development will kick off on 25 April 2022. Over four days, the event will bring together heads of state and government and other high-level participants from governments and international organizations as well as civil society to review progress on the Addis Ababa Action Agenda, the roadmap for financing the Sustainable Development Goals. The SDG Investment Fair aims to mobilize financing for development and scale up private sector participation in the SDGs though investments in developing countries. Since 2018, the Fair has operated as an annual event where countries present investment projects that advance their SDG agenda to potential investors.
