The Second Session of the Preparatory Committee for the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development will be held in Conference Room 1 of the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 3 to 6 December 2024.

The co-facilitators of the outcome document for the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) – Mexico, Nepal, Norway and Zambia – released an elements paper on Friday, 22 November 2024. 

A Multi-stakeholder hearing will be held in New York on 28 October 2024. This will offer a platform for all non-governmental actors, including civil society, academia, private sector, and philanthropy organizations, among others, to actively engage in discussions towards an ambitious FfD4 outcome.

The UN Tax Committee strengthens international cooperation on tax matters, domestic and international, with a special focus on needs and capacities of developing countries in this area. It generates practical guidance for governments, tax administrators and taxpayers to strengthen tax systems for sustainable development.

Committee meetings are open to participation by observers from Member States and other stakeholders, including international and regional organizations, academia, civil society, and the private sector.

In preparation for the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), we invite think tanks, universities, research networks, and other relevant academic stakeholders to submit

Second Session Ad Hoc Committee to Draft Terms of Reference for a United Nations Framework Convention on International Tax Cooperation, 29 July - 16 August 2024. 

The first Preparatory Committee session will be held in Addis Ababa on 22-26 July 2024.
