Join the 2024 ECOSOC Special Meeting on International Cooperation in Tax Matters on Monday, 18 March, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (New York time). The event will take place in-person at the United Nations Headquarters in New York and be live-streamed on UN Web TV.
The Special Meeting aims to identify effective approaches to fiscal policies for inclusive and sustainable development and to support a fair, inclusive, and effective international tax system.
This year’s meeting will engage diverse stakeholders in advancing dialogue on two key themes:
- promoting inclusive and effective international tax cooperation at the UN, following General Assembly resolution 78/230 of 22 December 2023); and

Participants include UN Member States, including officials from ministries of finance and national tax authorities, members of the UN Tax Committee, regional and international organizations, civil society, private sector, and academia.
