Years of close partnership in providing technical assistance on asset management have yielded the new joint publication Managing Infrastructure Assets for Sustainable Development: A Handbook for Local and National Governments by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF).

The present report, submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 74/202, provides a review of the global economic and financial impacts of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic and the response of the international financial system. It contains proposals for strengthened international cooperation and a fuller mobilization of the international safety net in support of countries in need.
