The Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) in Sevilla, Spain updated the global framework to close financing gaps for sustainable development, including in its social dimension. The Sevilla Commitment recognizes that public resources, policies and plan are at the heart of the efforts for a sustainable development investment drive. Domestic public resources and public financial management (PFM) are essential to poverty reduction, social inclusion, and decent work.

The co-facilitators of the outcome document of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development present to the co-chairs of the FFD4 Preparatory Committee their final revised text of the Compromiso de Sevilla. It reflects the co-facilitators best efforts to arrive at consensus and reflects a balanced, ambitious, and action-oriented outcome document. The Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) provided a unique opportunity to reform financing at all levels, including to support reform of the international financial architecture and addressing financing challenges preventing the urgently needed investment push for the SDGs. FFD4 Conference was held in FIBES Sevilla Exhibition and Conference Centre.
First Draft of the FFD4 Outcome Document Now Available
The First Draft of the FFD4 Outcome Document was released by the co-facilitators (Mexico, Nepal, Norway and Zambia) on Monday, 10 March 2025. The draft builds on comments that delegations and stakeholders provided on the zero draft outcome document and restates the commitment to an ambitious and action-oriented outcome document.
