2023 DCF called for nations to scale up development cooperation to better support the most vulnerable

SDG Investment Fair 2023

The SDG Investment Fair will again take place on 18-20 April 2023, alongside the ECOSOC Financing for Development Forum.  Focusing on emerging and frontier markets, the Fair showcases a range of SDG-aligned sustainable investment opportunities in diverse sectors.

As a platform for brokering both deals and sharing knowledge related to SDG financing, representatives from the private sector, the development community, civil society, academia and UN agencies are encouraged to participate.

 

 

26th Session UN Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters

The UN Tax Committee strengthens international cooperation on tax matters, domestic and international, with a special focus on needs and capacities of developing countries in this area. It generates practical guidance for governments, tax administrators and taxpayers to strengthen tax systems for sustainable development.

Committee meetings are open to participation by observers from Member States and other stakeholders, including international and regional organizations, academia, civil society, and the private sector.

SG Report on trends and progress in international development cooperation

INFFs taking off through peer-to-peer learning in Africa

More than 300 people from country governments, civil society, and the UN system participated in a workshop on Integrated National Financing Frameworks (INFFs) and Open Budgets for Sustainable Development in Africa. Organized in Abuja, Nigeria by FSDO, in collaboration with UN ECA, UNDP, UNICEF and the International Budget Partnership (IBP), and with the support from the European Union, the Workshop contributed to the enhancement of peer-to-peer exchange learning experiences about national INFF processes.

Introduction to Infrastructure Asset Management for local and central government officials in Kenya (Virtual, 24-25 October 2022, 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Kenya Time and 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. EST)

On 24-25 October 2022, UNDESA, UNOPS, and UNCDF will conduct an interactive online training session over two days to introduce central and local government officials in Kenya to the basics of infrastructure asset management. Expert instructors will introduce participants to some of the basic toolkits in the UN Handbook on infrastructure asset management.
